Friends!
I got the Explanation of Benefits in the mail for my hysterectomy.
Hang on to your shorts:
SIXTY-SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS!
I am so happy I have good health insurance; my total out of pocket expenses were under $300.
I'm in shock, I really don't know how or what I feel about such a huge sum for removing some worn out female parts...I wonder what I could get for a kidney in good shape?
Hubby has two!

Holy cannoli, that's a lot of money! How great that you have such good insurance, though.
My mom wanna give a kiss to your insurance guy !
COD ! SIXTY-SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!! That's a lot of money.
WOW! That's a huge bill! It's great you have good insurance! You might be able to retire if you sell one of your hubby's kidneys! :)
I thank and thank and thank the NHS here in the UK. Truly.
You are worth every penny!! Everyone's health is worth every penny!
Take care

YOU DO have great insurance if you only paid $300 out of pocket. We can't get that kind of coverage in Maine. We'd be lucky to have a plan that only has $3,000 out of pocket. I know. I sell the stuff to the poor sods who live here...

Holy crap is right! Living in Canada, with universal health care, I wouldn't have a clue how much our medical procedures cost. (Some things are not covered, of course, and I do have supplementary health insurance through work.)
Whoa! That's a lot of $$$!
Holy S**t, mine, 20 years ago cost $7K, most all covered by insurance and the little bit that the surgeon, my Gyn guy, charged over the limit, he wrote that off. I worked at the clinic at that time.
Mother Lover!! Wow!
Gees! All for a broken hisser!!!! I'll keep my hisser then! (no idea what mine would pay..probably wouldn't be too bad) (she said)
That was one expensive operation!! I think the whole health care system is out of whack!!
